Your Thoughts Are Your Reality
Regardless of circumstances each man lives in a world of his own making. –Joseph Murray Emms
“The most powerful forces known to man are not nuclear weapons, nor nature’s awesome wonders, such as the might of an earthquake, the power of the sun, or mastery of a hurricane. The most powerful forces are but the thoughts and ideas of the mind.” We use ideas and thoughts everyday for emotions, creativity, and problem solving. Our thoughts constitute our very reality. Regardless of who you are, where you start, whether you are rich or poor, the life you live is the life of your own creation. Right now you are living a life that is reflective for the most part of your past thoughts and choices. If you are unhappy and living an unfulfilled life, it is due greatly to the beliefs that you have subscribed to and the decisions that you’ve made. Unfortunately too often our beliefs and decisions are centered on fear. We are afraid to fail, afraid of what others might say or think, etc. So much so that the thoughts and ideas that could have moved us toward a life of fulfillment, joy and prosperity are dismissed before they could take root and inspire us to action.
The power that countless others have used to overcome and succeed is the same power that we all possess. Understand this; you will create your own world; good or bad. The book of proverbs chapter 23 verse 7 says, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” To live the life you so desire you must first accept responsibility for your life, your happiness and your success. No one can create those for you. Place no more blame on circumstances as your current circumstances are but a reflection of your past thoughts. Too often we can find reasons to fail and place blame on others when the failure or disappointment is really ours. Make the decision to change your thoughts immediately and guard them carefully as what you focus on the longest becomes the strongest. Then decide upon what you desire or find your purpose and focus all your energy, thoughts and actions on that. Ask yourself a question, what would you really do if you weren’t afraid? Now, write it down, make a plan, commit to your goal and believe in the power within you to accomplish it. There is nothing holding you back but you.
“What we can or cannot do, what we consider possible or impossible, is rarely a function of our true capability. It is more likely a function of our beliefs about who we are.” ~Anthony Robbins
